Willie (Marv Bartlett) caught & released this 25 pound, 48 inch sturgeon on Tuesday. Willie is an avid sturgeon fisherman & has several "sweet spots" out in the Delta.


Scott & Marv (Willie) Bartlett caught a nice sturgeon on Jan 10th. They also caught & released a rare green sturgeon on the same day.

To quote Mark Klaver, "when you find the pocket stay with it while it's hot". He & his son & friends did just that on Dec 30th & caught several stripers near the Antioch waterfront. A great way to head into the new year!


Congratulations to Keaton Nissinen, 9 years old, who caught his first striper on Nov 25th! He was using gobie as bait & caught the 10 pound, 26 1/2" fish on Sherman Lake.


Scott Sanders had a double day when he landed a 51" sturgeon & an 8.5 pound striper while fishing off West Island on the 25th.


Chuck & Sam Ghanim caught this nice group of striper ranging in size from 3 to 9 pounds on the 16th of Nov. They were using sardines, fishing the low tide & were by West Island & Honker Bay.


Brian & Pat Jones caught a nice salmon on a smithwick rouge jerk bait. They were actually fishing for stipers & black bass when Brian hooked into the salmon while fishing around Sherman Island.


Pat Jones experienced an off-the-hook fishing day! He caught salmon, stripers & black bass around Sherman Island all on LV 500s.


Bill Goin was out on the 7th and caught a bonus fish (salmon) using a 1 oz. Rat-L-Trap.


Marv Bartlett (Willie) caught a very nice striper while out enjoying the fall weather.


Joe England caught & then released this 35-pound, 52-inch sturgeon. He was using grass shrimp and was fishing the low tide near Rio Vista. He had an ABU rod and a garcia reel & 30# test.


Woody & Candy Woods caught a 32" striper using sardines in Honker Bay. They also limited out for the day.


Frank Padilla & Eric Wilson fished all morning & caught 4 nice stripers using Rat-L-Traps in the Pittsburg area.
